Bucket List Blogfest

Happy Birthday, Mo!  Here's my Bucket List...

Own a house - paint all the rooms whatever color I want.

Have a gourmet-ish kitchen with enough cabinet space for all my dishes and equipment.

Have a den with no toys in it (at least some of the time).

[there seems to be a home theme here...]

Graduate school in Library Science, I think, maybe?

Attend NCAA Final Four games, preferably when UNC is dominating!

Go back to the Grand Canyon and spend more than one day there.

Travel abroad - Greece, Italy, India, Africa, so many places.

Live closer to my sister. (This is a hard one because I like the life we've developed in Maryland, but I would love to live close enough to see my family at the drop of a hat, too.)

  1. Thank you! Also, great list! I like your home goals :) The grad school idea sounds great, it would be fun to work in a library.

  2. Hi there!

I'm here by way of Mo - I love your list. And I really love the idea of painting a whole house any color.

  3. I totally feel your paint goal. Somehow, my father-in-law dictated most of my paint colors just because he was doing the painting. What's up with that?

  4. I love seeing how often travel pops up on these lists. It's such a fascinating and satisfying thing to do! I love my home here; it feels great coming back to it after time in a different place!

  5. Good list. It seems like everyone wants to travel more than they do.

  6. @Mo - I love the idea of working in a place that is filled with books and is QUIET (unlike my home life)!

@Tristi & Gina - when we moved into the house we're renting now, one of the bedrooms had a chair rail - white on top, bright yellow on the bottom, rail painted fluorescent orange. The landlord let us paint over that. Our bedroom has a blue ceiling (which I've come to like) and a purple bathroom. The rest is shades of boring off-white that don't quite match.

  7. Love the list. I go back and forth on a mega kitchen. More space for goodies, but so much more to clean. :) I guess it's that's my biggest concern, I'm doing pretty well, right? Hope your travel dreams come true. That's the one I've seen more than any others during this blogfest.

    Thanks for sharing!

  8. Nice list! I am a librarian, I highly recommend it! :D

  9. I used to live in Arizona & never made it to the Grand Canyon, but it's on my Bucket List too!
